Synonym/s: Capromys garridoi Varona, 1970:2 (original combination)

 

Has now been re-identified as an individual of Capromys pilorides (Turvey et al. 2017).

Last record: c.1978 (Soy, & Silva, 2008)

IUCN RedList status: Critically Endangered (Possibly Extinct) (since removed, see "Taxonomy & Nomenclature" above)

small unnamed islet northwest of Cayo Largo, Archipiélago de los Canarreos, Cuba
