Taxonomy & Nomenclature
This taxon has historically been considered a good species (Gagnepain, 1942; Murata, 1984), but was reduced to a synonym of A. roxburghii by (Gusman & Gusman, 2006) and followed by (Boyce et al., 2012), then reinstated as a species as part of its rediscovery by (Nguyễn et al., 2014) and confirmed as a good species by (Thien et al., 2016).
