Conservation Status

Last record: Middle Holocene

Rediscovered as living individuals in 1956-60, prior to scientific description (Kendrick and Brearley, 1984:181)

 

Two living populations exist, around Cockburn Sound in the metropolitan area, and up at Shark Bay (Kendrick and Brearley, 1984).
