Conservation Status

Rediscovered in the wild on 17 September 1980 (Moretti et al., 1982:187)

 

For more than 100 years this species was known in cultivation, but the wild plant was unknown due to a lack of locality data. It was rediscovered southern Tamaulipas in mid-September 1980 (Moretti et al., 1982).
