Conservation Status

Last record: 1842 or earlier (Dunkel, 2008)

Rediscovered in: February 2001 (specimen); later (recognition) (both Dunkel, 2008)

 

The reason for the lack of records of this species for more than 150 years is likely to be its close resemblance to a weed, V. lutea (Dunkel, 2008:112).
